Oh those Shoes!
|
They're beautiful, sexy, goregous and you're about to spend approxiamately eight hours on your feet! "Oh, I wear heals all the time" but are you up running around conducting business? Or are you like most of us who spend the majority of the time at a desk? Makes a difference. I've rarely seen one of my brides keep her shoes on until the end of the evening. Now I'm not proposing that you have to wear ballet shoes or flats, but make sure your comfortable. If that means getting something with a more sustainable heal to support your weight through out the long event, then so be it. You'll be so much happier. Besides the garter toss, when does any one ever really see your shoes? Unless you've opted for a hi-low or short gown.
Here are a few options:
Nice Slide where the heel is flaired at the bottom |
Sandle with a sturdy heel, not wide, but not spiked |
Need more support? Consider a wedge |
Mid-level standard heel. Embelishments can be added! |
Outside wedding? Just for safety sake don't wear a spike. We really don't want to watch you tumble down the aisle. Yes, your dad's arm is strong, but it would be like pulling on a 100 pound weed!
Now lets consider your bridesmaids. Different sizes, different styles, different comfort levels? A lot of brides are letting their maids select their own dresses, why not their own shoes? Will they be wearing them outside? If so and there is moisture in the grass (say from dew or rain earlier that day) it will spot the shoes. Also keep in mind that the shoes will look different in the sunlight vs indoor lighting. You'll need to decide which lighting you'll want to match the dye to. Again unless it's a short gown I wouldn't stress too much over it. Most of the shoe manufactures know the base colors being manufactured by the dress designers so there isn't any problem getting a really close, if not exact match to the dress.
If by chance you have unsightly heels we have a wonderful product to cure that up right fast. Here's a picture of the before and after
If you need some help with making your feet as soft and supple as the rest of your body just give us a call.
We're getting ready to run a great Bridal Special. From August 25th to Sept. 8th we're giving our Brides 1/2 off any shoe selection from Coloriffics, Dyeables or Touch Ups with the purchase of 3 bridesmaid shoes! Don't have your dresses yet? No problem, just register your proposed selection and we'll place the order when your ready.
