First seeds: Egypt (hosts), Cameroon, Nigeria, Tunisia (holders)

Second seeds: Democratic Republic of Congo, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa

Third seeds: Cτte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Togo

Fourth seeds: Angola, Libya, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Interestingly, four of the World Cup qualifiers are seeded third/fourth.
