| I see now that Germany's points are calculated only from the 2008 european qualifiers as they were hosts in 2006, so that one single result counts more for them ( bad or good ) |

| Don't worry, it happens to the best of us, but indeed you're right. I did mention this fact a few times in previous UEFA coefficient articles though... |

Hi there. Just wanted to post a comment to say good work on the weblog. I found it really informative, especially as I'm an overly optimistic Scot fantasising about what group we'll get at Euro 2008!
Keep up the good work...Spiros |

| Glad you're enjoying it. As for Scotland, I'd be very nervous about Georgia on Wednesday. From the clips I saw Scotland indeed look pretty hot, but Georgia away isn't yet a foregone conclusion. I did say the same about the Ukraine match and they jumped that hurdle very well, but Tbilisi is not Glasgow! Even then, beating Italy at home is a big ask. I think they could definitely do it but it will be one tough game. Imagine Italy not making the European Championship. Could it be any better? I suppose as a Scot it could, if Russia undo the English progress on Wednesday! I'd pray for some snow. Unfortunately it looks like it will only snow a little in Moscow today. |
