One of sweet cats passed away
It was 28th January, one of our cats suddenly passed away. Her name is Kony which sat most the right side in the picture above. She was born at our home in 1996, so she had about 10 years life with us. All my family have no idea why she had to go... We didn't feel anything wrong with her. But I don't know, she might have been calling for help. How woeful we weren't able to notice her call. I have a regret what I didn't hug her good enough though she really liked to be huged. DId I give her lots of love? No I didn't. I really want to say her "sorry" and "forgive me" from bottom of my heart. But also I want to say "Thanks". |

My Byebye Party At The Voodoo Lounge 25th Aug. 2005
| End of the summer, I had my farewell party at The Voodoo Lounge where is the bar which I had worked in for one and half year, after I got back from Canada. At the Voodoo I had really great times while I work, so many memories... I've gotten drunk(of couse!), cryed many times from many reasosns(happy times and sad times), met great people and a little of fxxkin' people(hahaha...). It had been emotional days. I must have grown up so much. Anyway The Voodoo Lounge is absolutely the unforgettable place for me!! On the day, I was really exciting!! Cos' I was a perfomer on a band. I really like singing and I've sung at Voodoo before. I planed to sing at my party when I desided to go back home(Kumamoto Prefecture). I woke up in the afternoon and started making up and dressing up and got in Voodoo at 7pm for the rehearsal and my band members got in too. BUT!!! without the drummer Nori!!!(He couldn't come to the rehearsal by his work.) Me, Kazu(guiter), Yokkun(guiter) and Tsubasa(bass) just four of us tryed playing... but how?? without a drummer... That was impossible... hahaha... so we finished in a few minutes. But we were fine! We just believed ourselves through the practices that we've done. And then we just chilled out. The members started drinking(I didn't!!)... I was like.... oh my dears.... they can play?? But It's party and I love the guys, so why not?? GO A HEAD!! ;) Yokkun said me, "Maki chan, Do you have stuffs for make up?" and I said, "Do you wanna it?" he said, "Yeah, Do it!!" What a funny guy! Then I put them on make up!(only around eyes though...) I was completely not nervous the whole night, guess maybe I wasn't alone, there were the great band members and many my friends came out for me and most of Voodoo customers are so familier and I was having the feels "I have to do it!!! to be myself!! to step up!! nothing to be afraid!!" Around 9pm, Nori got and checked drums sounds quickly, he looked tired by his work. Past 9:30, Voodoo was full of people and 10pm we got ready to go!!! Back the stage, we made a circle and then yelled out "LET'S GO!!!" I had a deep breath then stood up top of the stage. We covered four songs. 1. GOING UNDER (EVANESCENCE) 2. HAUNTED (EVANESCENCE) 3. TAKING OVER ME (EVANESCENCE) 4. LOVE SONG (LUNA SEA) Our perform was absolutely fxxkin' great!!! I mean I had really great feelings very much!! Of couse I know about my singing as I recorded and filmed. My key on the songs and my hoarse voice were suck!! Issues that I have to try to improve. But I just enjoyed it and I was able to be free and to feel free, just sang and performed whatever I believe that it's myself. I think I learned to be natural, to be open, (..... or to go crazy??) But I'm sure if I wasn't there, didn't work at Voodoo, didn't meet my great friends, I've never been here, never felt this... I really appreciate all my warm friend's supports. After us, Nori san who is a bartender of Voodoo and a singer(not Nori of our band), he performed. I requested him to sing "Nadasousou" which is a famous song of the female singer who is from Okinawa prefecture as I like it. He sang four songs including his original and "Shimauta" it's also an Okinawa song and Nori san sang it with the beautiful instrument called "Sanshin" which is an Okinawa traditional instrument, looks like a "Shamisen" but it's different. His voice is so beautiful!! Thanks Nori san!! The last performers... they came from another planet. The name is "Hebowig And The Angrypunch!" I bet they were the hottest band at the night definitely!!! I enjoyed it very much!!! Many people came down to the floor, just front of the band and danced. I had over the night, drunk until the next morning. I'm so happy that I had the party, I've gotten lots of power from the party. I'll never forget all my friend cheers, and never give up my dream!!!!! ROCKIN' ON!!!!! I'd like to thank especialy to Kayo, she is my best friend I've ever had. She was always beside me and I've helped by her thousand times. Absolutely she is the one who I most spent times with in Fukuoka city. And she brought me the band members for the night. Thanks to the members too!!! Nori, Kazu, Yokkun and Tsubasa. We had practiced in a studio at really late nights, even when they were so tired. I was able to sing under pressures....... cos' they were there. WE WERE ROCK!!!!! Maki |
